Licensing and the trial
MomentBackup is a paid app with a real trial — the full product, free for 21 days, no account and no card.
During the trial
Everything works: backups, schedules, encryption, whole-computer images, restores. Use it exactly as you would after buying.
When the trial ends
New backups pause until you add a license. Restoring never pauses — anything you backed up remains fully restorable, trial or not, forever. A backup product that could hold your data hostage wouldn’t deserve the name.
One-time purchase
MomentBackup is not a subscription. You buy a license once, it never expires, and 1.x updates are included. There is nothing to cancel because nothing recurs.
Activation works offline — including air-gapped machines
The license key is self-contained: the app checks it on the machine, with no activation server involved. That matters for the exact scenario backup software exists for — a machine just reinstalled onto a blank disk, possibly with no network drivers yet, that needs its data back now.
It also means a computer that never goes online can be licensed. Buy on any device, then bring the key over by typing it in, or carry the license file on a USB stick. The air-gapped machine never needs to connect — at activation or ever after.
One license, your machines
A personal license covers your own computers. Install the app wherever you need it for yourself — the license isn’t tied to a single piece of hardware that might be the very thing that just died.
