Is MomentBackup a subscription?

No. You buy it once and it's yours — the license never expires and 1.x updates are included. There's nothing to cancel because nothing recurs.

Is there a storage subscription?

Also no. MomentBackup never hosts your data, so there is nothing to bill monthly for storage. You bring your own drive, NAS, or cloud bucket.

How does the trial work?

The full product is free for 21 days. Create a free MomentBackup account to download it, then sign in inside the app to start one trial for that account. Another computer uses the same end date. No credit card is required. When the trial ends, new backups pause until you buy a license, but restoring what you already backed up always works.

Which plan should I buy?

Count the computers you use MomentBackup on at the same time. Pick 1 computer if it is just for you and one machine. The 3-computer plan is the best fit for a desktop, laptop, and one extra computer.

What if I replace a computer?

Move your license to the replacement. The dead or retired computer does not keep using a place in your allowance.

Can I buy more than one package?

Yes. Each purchase gives you a separate license key and its own computer allowance. You can combine packages if that fits you better.

Do the bigger plans include more features?

No. Every personal plan includes the full product and 1.x updates. Only the number of computers changes.

Can I license a computer that never goes online?

Yes. The license key is self-contained — buy on any device, then type the key on the offline machine or carry the license file over on a USB stick. Air-gapped computers never need to connect, at activation or ever after.

Do I need a license to restore my files?

Never. Getting your data back always works — after the trial ends, on a brand-new machine after the old one dies, years from now. A license unlocks making new backups; it is never a gate on recovering what you already have. Install MomentBackup anywhere, point it at your backup, and restore.

I lost my license key — how do I get it back?

Your Polar receipt and a separate MomentBackup fulfillment email arrive after checkout; the fulfillment email contains your key. You can also sign in to your MomentBackup account to re-download it. If you cannot find either, contact support and we will help — but a paid license does not need the account service to activate or work: the key itself is your license.
